After a long and draining day, Kim came home and went straight to the kitchen to make a turkey and cheese sandwich with a big glass of strawberry lemonade. She went to the living room to enjoy her lunch while watching breaking bad. Before she sat down on the couch she put her food on the coffee table and went to her room to change her clothes. When she returned her glass and sandwich was gone. Kim lived in a two story home by herself. She had no roommate or family members to take the blame. Feeling very confused, Kim started to get scared as she stood there looking down at the table, wondering where her sandwich had gone. More things started disappearing on the following Thursday. Kim made a batch of brownies, she took three and left the rest on the counter in a Ziploc container. The container was all the way filled, touching the top of the lid. But when she went back in the kitchen, one third of the brownies were messing and the lid wasn’t on, it looked like someone just sat it on top. After that more and more food started to go missing. It wasn’t food that was unmade but food that she took the time to prepare. She started to worry but not enough to call the police. The week after her iPad disappeared off of her desk just after using it an hour before. Then it was her a whole pack of new pens, then her favorite necklace. She came to realize that all the things that were going missing was things that someone would really want or really need. She went to call her sister when she started to think maybe she have been sneaking into her house. Her sister called before Kim had the chance, she was wondering when she will be available. “Never!” Kim said when her sister asked. “Why are you being so hostile?”  “Why are you coming over here stealing all my stuff?” she said aggressively “Huh? … What are you talking about, Kimberly? Are you okay? … Do you need to start taking meds?” “I don’t need any meds, I’m not crazy! I know you have been over here for the past three weeks taking all my belonging and every single thing I cooked!” “You are crazy Kim, how am I going to get in your house? I don’t have a key” After that last sentence, Kim immediately hung up the phone. After the conversation with her sister she started to really think about everything that have been going on. She began to really think something is going on with her head like her mind is playing tricks on her. She started to take notes of all the things that went missing. Staring at her long list of missing items, pacing in her bedroom. She began to really think something she wrong with her. “How can my things end up missing like this?” “Did someone break into my house?” “What is going on” She said to herself. Just as she started call the police she heard footsteps downstairs. Heavy footsteps. She grabbed a lamp from the bedside table, took the shade off and headed down the stairs. Slowly creeping down the stairs not trying to make a sound, she started to hear whispers and followed them into the kitchen. Went she got to the doorway of the kitchen she saw a teenage girl in the fridge looking for food. The girl was homeless up until she seen Kim basement window and figured she could stay down there. All Kim’s question have been answered and all her things have been returned.
