There once was a young boy named Timmy. He hated vegetables. Every day his parents made him eat vegetables with his dinner. He gagged everytime he had to eat green beans, spinach, broccoli, asparagus, and brussel sprounts. His parents would set a timer and give him a certain amount of time to finish all of the vegetables on his plate. If he didn’t finish it, they would pile more veggies on his plate. He hated it but he didn’t realize that it made him healthy because he was a young, immature kid.

One day he was walking home from school. He decided to try to take a shortcut home through a field. As he was obliviously walking, he suddenly fell into a well. He plummeted 30 feet into water inside of the well. Timmy went into shock but luckily there was a ladder and he was able to climb out or else he would have died. As he was climbing, trying to get to the top he slipped and fell back in. He kept trying to get out of the well. But he couldn’t. He had heard a quiet voice that told him to make two wishes. He thought it was stupid because he didn’t believe that a wish would come true, but he decided to give it a shot. “I wish I could get out of this stupid well! And I wish all vegetables were substituted with dessert!” Timmy cried.

He teleported out of the well and was laying on the ground in the field right next to the well. He was very confused and amazed that his wish came true. He realized that he had made two wishes. So he rushed home to see if his other with came true. He ran through the front door and bolted to the kitchen. He opened the veggie drawer in the fridge and there were no veggies. There was cake and cookies and icecream! Timmy was so happy.
Timmy and his family along With the whole world ate dessert for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday. Timmy was in heaven for the first two weeks. After that he realized that everyone was getting fat and unhealthy. Timmy was the only one that noticed vegetables being replaced with desserts. Everyone else just thought that was how it always was. It was like Timmy went into a different dimension. Suddenly he wasn’t enjoying what he wished for at all. He was totally sick of eating sweets. All he wanted was some vegetables so he could feel healthy. Everyone in the world was gaining a bunch of weight and it was making the world become more heavy. The World started to descend down towards the sun. Earth’s temperature was rising fast. People were noticing the change in temperature.  Water was evaporating and animals were starting to die. Timmy, along with the whole world’s population were too fat to walk. All they could do was eat.

Wildfires were starting in forests and water was evaporating. The ocean was becoming land. Many people were dying because it was so hot. Timmy had to do something about it because he caused the problem. He rolls his fat body to the well. He wants to jump back into it to see if he can make another wish but he was too fat to fit in the well. He had to figure out a way to get inside of the well. All of the sudden, He sees a meteor falling out of the sky about to land on the well. He tries to get away from it as fast as he can. He got about 100 yards away fromthe well as the meteor hits the well. He rolls his way back to the well and the whole was much bigger. The ground was very hot and the meteor was inside of the well in multiple pieces. Timmy jumps down into the well and lands in the water. The water was over 100 degrees though so he tries to get out of it as fast as he can. He climbs the ladder. He kept slipping just like the first time he was in the well. He makes a wish that the world was back to the way it was when there were actual vegetables. And he wished again to be able to get out of the well. The wish worked. He teleported out of the well and was laying beside it. The ground was no longer hot. And the sun was far away from the sun. Timmy was back to his normal size. He rushed home to go see is parents. They were healthy. “Why did it take you so long to get home from school timmy?” Timmy’s dad asked. Timmy explained to him everything that happened. Of course his dad didn’t believe him at all and he grounded him for not coming home after school. Timmy didn’t care though. He went up to his room and was in relief that the world wasn’t going to melt. Timmy’s parents called him down for dinner. There was steak, broccoli and asparagus. Timmy wolfed down the vegetables before he had his meat. He learned to appreciate vegetables even if they didn’t taste good to him. After he was done eating dinner. His mom brought pie and ice cream to the table. Timmy told his mother that he’d pass up dessert. His mom looked puzzled. “Are you feeling okay timothy?” she asked. “I’ve Never been better!” He answered without hesitation.

Timmy never took the shortcut to and from school again. People weren’t meant to make their own wishes. If they were, the world would get out of hand. Be careful what you wish for.

I was inspired to write this piec to incourage kids that making wishes isn't the best thing in the world. A wish could turn out to be something that you didn't plan or want to happen at all. Be careful what you wish for.
