Fighting the Gate
Ram and Rem where heading out to their favorite concert that was finally staged in an area that was within their reach. Of course, they had no way of getting in because the price was way out of their range. Despite all of that they were extremely determined to make their way into the concert fail. “How are we going to get in again?” spoke Rem.
“That’s simple.” Responded Ram “Just climb over the gate.” As they approached the gate they soon realize that Rams plan was flawed and near impossible.
“Climbing over it huh?” smirked Rem.
“In what world does a concert have barbed wire on top of the fence”. Whimpered Ram.
“So climbing is a no go?”
“Nope.”
“What do we do then?”
“Well we could walk around the fence in hopes that there is an opening under the fence just big enough for us to squeeze through to the other side.” So, they walked the entire perimeter of the fence looking for unknown passageways to the other side of the fence. Unfortunately, their effort bore no fruit.
“Whelp” spoke Rem breaking the silence between them “We’re boned.”
“Well we could vandalize the fence to make a for us to walk through.” Suggested Ram.
“Yeah I guess we could vandal….” That’s as far as Rem got as she realized what she was about to agree to. “Why in the world would we do that.”
“To get in the concert.”
“No, we can’t do that!”
“Why not?”
“I can give you more reasons why not to do it than you can to do so.”
“Than what do you want do then?” Rebutted Ram.
“Not go to jail.” Fired back Rem.
“Then we can’t get in to the concert.”
“That may be for the best.” Spoke a familiar voice behind them. They didn’t need to turn around to know who was standing behind them. They couldn’t turn around even if they wanted to due the harsh pinching in their ears and the dragging in their feet. Showing no resistance, at all they gave their fate up to the one dragging them home to their rooms.
After a long stern talking to, they gave their sorry’s and their promises to not do it again. They went to find their beds and both laid there peacefully. “Was it worth it?” said Rem
“Totally.” Said Ram.
