“Slow down!” screamed Past
“I can’t.” Replied Present
“I miss the old Christmas!” echoed Nostalgia
Bitterness snarled, “Those days are over!”
Moments passed,
snow fell and presents wrapped.
People gathered and love was present,
“We grow together and rejoice together.” Love triumphed.
Snowstorms. Hot Chocolate. Cookies
baked with love and many hands-
If you listen in the background,
you can hear the voice of Christmas past.
