Just a Little Reminder
You stare at the sky, worried about something. The night-time breeze quietly enters your room. The hard stool beneath you leans as you rest your elbows on the window sill.
Surely, it couldn't be that bad, could it?
Hundreds of chirping crickets can be heard outside your window, hopping around free in the grass, but there's always the threat of the owl. You're like those crickets. Sometimes you can feel free and careless, but trouble can suddenly end those feelings. The owl is the crickets' problem, but any form of trouble could be your's.
Taking your mind off of the noisy crickets, you continue to stare up at the dark night sky.
Is there any end to space? You wonder. Or is it just as endless as people say it is? All things must end eventually, just like the crickets. You lift your elbows off of the window sill and lean the stool back into place. You stand up, with enough force that the stool slightly wobbles in place as you leave your spot, and shut the window. All things must end, but why not make the most of it?
You matter and people care about you, why not show off your amazing talents? Everyone matters, and everyone can make a difference.
This is just a little reminder.

This is a little confidence booster for anyone who feels down or isn't feeling too confident in themselves. It's just a short story, but I hope it can help.
