The Missing Earrigns
Monday morning I woke up to my alarm ringing in my ear. I looked at the time and saw I was late. I ran into my closet, grabbed a shirt and a pair of shorts and got dressed.. I brushed my teeth, combed my hair and jumped in the car. In the car my mom asked me if I had any after school activities or if I had any upcoming tests or meetings she needed to know about. As we were talking, she noticed that I wasn't wearing any earrings that morning. I froze, I couldn't remember the last place I had put them down. I always remember me wearing them unless I had to take them out. I started to search my backpack in every compartment. There was little luck especially through the trash in my moms car.. My mom had just pulled up to the the front of the school, I zipped up my backpack and I quickly got out of the car and checke under my seat..
I went straight to my locker to see if the earrings could possibly be there. I searched through the pages in my textbooks, planner, and lunchbox. Suddenly the bell rang and everyone around me rushed to their first period. Surrounded by people, I joined my friends and walked with them to first period. During class all I could think about was where was the last place I took them out. Throughout the day I was to anxious to get home to search my room.
By the time the final bell rang for the day I went to my locker to drop off my textbooks and I walked straight to the car loop where I waited for my mom. When she got to the front of the line I got into the car and we speeded home.
When reached our drive way, I got out of the car, threw my bags by the garage door and ran to my room. I opened my bedroom door to find an atrocious amount if clothing, miss placed items and junk piled ontop of each other. I started to dig into the mess, when I accidentally stepped and tripped on a pile of dirty clothes. I couldn't get over the fact that I had lost the earrings that I had forver.
My mom came into my room and obviously thought that I should probably clean my room when she saw all the clothes. I soon agreed that maybe if I cleaned my room, I could find them. First I took all of my dirty clothes and put them into a basket. It made such a difference that I could actually see half of my bedroom floor. I moved on to the trash and threw away old paper, tissues, and other items I found. After about seventy-five percent of my room was clean I gradually saw that things I hadn't seen in a while appear. Vacuuming the tile I picked up many bobby pins and other hair accessories. I organized my makeup, desk, and drawers and found that I had accomplished cleaning my room, but not finding my earrings. Once more I checked my backpack and found that they weren't in there so I went to my sisters room to see if maybe she had stole them. I walked up to her jewelry box and realized that they had been laying right on top of her rings the whole time and she never asks if she can borrow them. When she got home I asked why sh had them and she said that I told her that she could wear them late last night. I tried to remember, but I was half asleep and I didn't know what I was saying. After finding them, I was relieved that I found them and that I should be more organized.
