Those Are My Eyes
Everybody in my family has different eyes. My dad has the eyes of a magical garden; a breathtaking color of green. After seeing his eyes, you would never think he is Japanese. His eyes may seem relaxed but can become stern at times; similar to a dog’s fury when their bone is taken away. My mom on the other hand, has eyes that remind you of warm coffee that is made in the morning. Perfectly brown, with a hint of lightness. My sister follows the footsteps of my mother. Cocoa-colored eyes that look innocent in every single way, and the long eyelashes is the frosting on the cake. And me, the odd one out.
After seeing my family’s eyes, you would assume I would have brown eyes like my mother and sister. When I was younger, my eyes were brown as a grizzly bear. Yet lately they have been turning more hazel. When I look in the mirror, I realize that they have been slowly becoming crystal green. The colors green and brown have started to blend together. Those are my eyes.

I wanted to write this vignette to show how every individual has a unique pair of eyes, and that we should cherish it.
