On an Average Day I can be as illustrious as Saffron,
Pumped-up
And ready to go
Like clouds that are clearing for the sun.

But on Some Days I can be as down and dirty as charred Sable,
Tarnished and rusted,
Fierce and Aggressive,
Like a migraine hammering into the walls of your head
But today I am fluorescent emerald,
And I am the best that I can be.

The author's comments:
The way that I feel about myself is what compels to keep moving every day. There's that voice in my head saying "Don't give up now, you have to keep trying!" You need to push yourself harder to achieve a goal.
