Safest
I look up from my book,
As the door opens,
And a student walks in.
My heart beats faster,
My world starts spinning,
As he smiles...at the teacher.
His blue-grey eyes scan the room,
When they settle on me,
I can feel the blush creeping up.
He grins wolfishly at me,
I smile back and mouth, “I love you,”
Then he comes and sits next to me.
“I love you too,” he says,
And I lean into his embrace,
‘Cause I feel safest in his arms.
