Out My Window
Out My Window
Out my window
To the park
Through the brake, -
Between the trees;
Down the rocky path
I go
Until I reach,
Rock Patio.
And once again I am at peace,
Feel the water on my feet.
Lying down on this rock,
Hear the water rushing by;
Rock Patio, the place to be!
Then the yelling –
Starts again;
Back out my window,
To the park,
Through the opening, -
Between the trees;
Up the steep slope
I tread,
Until I reach,
Earth’s Edge.
And once again I am at peace;
See the world down below,
While standing on this cliff alone,
Feel the wind blow through my hair;
Earth’s Edge, the place to be!
Then the fighting –
Begins again;
Back out my window,
To the park,
Through the clearing, -
Between the trees;
Into the woods
I go,
Until I reach,
Green Meadow.
And once again I am at peace,
Feeling the sun’s rays shine down on me.
Watching love evolve into life;
Smell the freshly cut green grass,
Green Meadow, the place to be!
And then the hitting –
Starts again;
Bars on my window;
Green Meadow –
Dead,
Rock Patio –
Drowned in blue,
And Earth’s Edge –
There no more.
