You may be far away
But that’s what some friendships have to pay
You always seem to make me smile
How much I miss you will only last a while
Soon you will be here
And the pain in my heart won’t be so severe
When I go to sleep at night
I pray that you are safe and alright
Camo is green
And my best friend is a U.S Marine

This poem is dedicated for my best friend Alex Worton who is a marine. He has been my best friend for over 9 years, we have been through so much together I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for him. I was inspired to write this poem after I told him I was reading Romeo and Juliet in my english class. I hope this poem touches people.
