The Creation
Father knows best, the saying goes,
But when father saw child
He could not bear to witness
He fled from the sight of his own Creation;
The heart that he started
Was scarred,
Yet still beating,
But a heart that
Is not beautiful is not fit
To be seen.
And on,
Father ran
And the hulking infant followed;
Wishing for a love
His maker could not bestow;
Nor others.
All he had to give was his Affection;
Failing that,
anger
And revenge,
Salty acts
Committed
With tears streaming down
Torn Cheeks.
Father believed son a monster;
Though he reached out
Not with fists,
But open palms to be held;
Behind the mask of a beast lay
A frightened child,
Whose cries- dull agonies and Drops of water-
Went unheeded and undiminished.
Maybe the sin is not in the chase
But in the running away,
And in a creator
Shunning creation
And turning face in shame.
Father knows best,
So the saying goes.
Infant will follow leader
To darkness
Or
To heaven.
Who truly is the one to begin
The evil.
