Expunge Me
Like many, I am afraid to love
Most people just wear it lke a glove
They cover themselves up
Empty like a china cup
I hate to be curt
But I don't want to be hurt
I, myself, am the worst
So bad you call me cursed
Just be smart
Leave me to my dark heart.
Down in this pit
I must admit
I do not feel half bad
I'm not close to mad
Down by the sun
I have no urge to run
Kindness found under the ground
Through I hear others pound
I look up to the sky
And I whisper my sweet "goodbye."
I know what I am,
It's far from the perfect lamb
Why am I to blame
It doesn't fill me with shame
I may be a snake
And I do make mistakes
I am not afraid to say it
Leave me before you get bit
