Boy Wonder
Like many
childhood
fantasies,
they are the
only things
that seem real.
Cartoons like
Batman made us
believe that we
could fly, but Batman
can't fly. High
school couldn't
be more real.
I was more inside
my head when I sat
alone; the other kids
didn't mind as they
were talking
about themselves.
But there stories
were self indulgent,
and it still remains a
selfish act. The last time
we read Batman,
we had already
started being lame.
