Loving You In Silence
In the quiet chambers of my heart, a secret dwells,
A love that lingers, unspoken, in silent spells.
We walk the path of friendship, side by side,
Yet deeper emotions within me, I cannot hide.
It's a love that defies reason, a forbidden flame,
A feeling I dare not utter, for fear of shame.
I know I should be just a friend to you,
But my heart betrays me, and this love is true.
In the stillness of the night, I confess my sin,
To love you more than friendship, where to begin?
I never meant for this, the way my heart behaves,
But it's a truth I can't deny, like wind upon the waves.
I fear it's not fair to you, this hidden affection,
Yet I can't help but yearn for a deeper connection.
To pretend I feel no more would be a charade,
For I cherish you in ways that cannot fade.
So, I'll keep this secret locked deep inside,
In the caverns of my heart, where it can't hide.
I'll cherish our friendship, though it's not enough,
Knowing that I love you, in silence, is tough.
