Dear Rory McIlroy,

I have a dream to be just like you. I want to and I am willing to work as hard as I can to do so. I strongly admire what you do, and the work you put in to achieve your goal. I want to be out there on the course one day, people watching me on television, every section of the grand stands filled with people just to see me and admire my play, and impress everyone with a hole in one. I am a little bit sad that I will never be on that course with you though, since I have a long journey ahead of me and a lot of work till I make it. You will be watching me on TV, and you will say, “That kid’s pretty good.” Even once in my life, the opportunity to play with you would be astonishing. My goal will only come if I go out every day, practice, practice, practice, and more practice. I get to see you at the PGA Championship in 2024 in Valhalla, Louisville, Kentucky. I am very excited and honored for the opportunity, and I hope to have a conversation with you about how I should strive to achieve my goal. It would be the best conversation of my life, talking to someone I watch on TV every day, winning tour after tour after tour. Hitting the ball with so much power that it goes further than one of my shots hit twice. Sinking putts from 10, 20, 30 feet away. I am going to do that too. I will be hitting the ball so far I'll overdrive the green on par 4s, and you will be watching me, saying, “What. A. Hit.” I am going to be just like you, going course to course, chipping in from bunkers, making common eagles. I'll be known as the 2ND best golfer in the world, behind you. No one can ever amount to the skill ceiling you have brought the game of golf to, and I am trying to reach that ceiling. My skill level is the first step of a staircase, and yours is the top of the Burj Khalifa. I am going to climb step by step in my future though, floor to floor, building to building, and I'll meet you at the top. We will be the top golfers ever known to mankind, and we will march through the courses together, birding every hole, at the top of the leaderboard. I’ll go to every course's club house and ask for two things; where is the first tee box, and what is the course record. I will be setting record after record, shatter your skill ceiling, and build taller buildings. I hope your career is a good one, as I am soon to be right there with you. Practice makes perfect.
