My favorite time of day is driving down the road when the sun is going down. I get over the hill and the whole sky is lit up with colors of beauty. 

Or when I’m eating dinner and put my plate in the dishwasher. I turn around to look out the window past my balcony and there's a thin strip of pink above the tree line. I grab my phone and take a quick picture. Then I stop and admire the silky strong colors of the sky. 

The sight takes me back to when I was a kid mixing watercolors. Pinks, purples, oranges, yellows. Filled up my paper, filling up the sky. 

I always wonder why God made this sky so magnificent on this particular day. Did something bad happen? Did something good happen? I always wonder…why today? 

My favorite part is not only sunsets but when I’m at a football game and the sky is dark blue with a mix of light purple and cloudy pink. Not necessarily a sunset. But a creation of artwork right above me. 

My camera roll has hundreds of pictures of sunsets. I love them, they are my happy place.
