The Garden
Sometimes I go back to that garden we built
With the flowers blossoming and the sun shining
As I look around everything seems perfect
Til that one flower.
No matter how much I water it
It just rots and rots
Over time it takes over the other flowers
Leaving them all to
Wilt.
I go back to that garden every now and then
Hoping a new flower will grow
Hoping the garden will start over
But it never does
And it never will.

This piece is about this toxic relationship that I was in and kept going back to even though it could never be fixed.
