LONG FALL WALK
The sun was dim and clouds were gray
The wind was strong but vary cold and shivering
People laughing and talking as I past by
The tree we’re changing in too there beautiful fall colors
There was a cold wet smell filling the air
As that same cold fall wind past on threw
My hands were cold and arms with goose bumps
As each step I took I heard a small crunch and crack
The sound of dogs barking and leashes shaking
The park was full with kids and parents swing and playing
Certain spots in the field with rays of sunshine were showing
Leaves falling ball around me as the wind continued
The sunset came early as the nights became shorter
The street lamps came on signaling it was time to go home
Walking in to that nice warm space and laying down finally
Thinking to myself what a wonderful day for a fall walk.
