a nameless color of sky
in valleys far away
i can see you chasing stars.
curled hair sticking into
the threads of sky,
that hold you still,
silent.
you reach nevertheless.
and the sky pushes down.
new names flood from your
lips,
as you sink into despair.
everyday you ask how i am.
everyday i respond with ‘i’m alright’
or ‘i’m good’ or ‘i’m okay’
‘hru?’
you say your not doing so well.
and 2,402 miles away
all i can do is watch.
with eyes that cant see,
with a mind that cant remember
the sound of your voice,
or the soft of your lips,
or the sweet way you tell me i’m
beautiful.
beautiful as the stars.
as the moon.
as the sky.
that pulls you deeper,
and deeper
down.
in valleys far away
i can see you chasing stars.
i can see you looking.
longing.
but not a word is said aloud.
