I will never forget
I will never forget the absence of silence that night,
As the intoxicating gas made me nauseous.
I will never forget my fathers desperate voice,
a lullaby of tears.
I will never forget the bright lights of the car,
screaming at my face.
I will never forget my fear threatening me,
I wouldn't dare open my eyes.
But I wasn't in my dad's arms anymore.
I was being taken away, the voices vanished,
fear was uncontrollable,
I will never forget my fathers as
I opened my eyes that night
I will never forget my fathers helplessness as I opened my eyes that night
I will never forget pain we went through
And I will never forget that police car parked in front of my house.
