Sweet Mornings
Theres something so solemn about this house,
The air filled with an alluring smell,
Floating about as though a tide,
Accents of baked goods comfort inside.
Golden rays shine so beautifully,
Plentiful of bread and sweets,
Slow dancing barefoot and terribly,
Content and at ease.
It's just us two,
We make muffins filled with care,
Conchas for coffee and sopa for lunch,
We drown in eachothers warmed hearts.
Theres nothing more compassionate,
Then chocolate tasting kisses,
We're covered in flour,
So maybe we'll shower later.
These cookies are almost gone,
I may have lost track,
I just can't keep my eyes off you,
"My love" repeats in my soul like a gentle mantra.
Perhaps when we run out of sugar,
Until the flour bag is empty,
And the eggs are all gone,
We can stay right here in eachothers arms.

I wrote this for my two soulmates, who I've known for forever and would hold for eternity. I love them so much, and I hope one day we'll die old and smelly together.
