Caterpillar
The monarchs gathered around
Leaving the caterpillar without a care
Although he would make the wailing sounds
For desires of comfort and acceptance
The monarchs would leave him bare
They had no shame so he kept forbearance
Hoping that someone or something won’t let him drown
And suffocate for affectionate air
But what is left may not be found
And there would be no use in his larynx
There will be nothing but cries without a sentence.
