Anne Frank tribute poem
Hope can bring people together
Hope is what Anne carries around with her everyday
Wishing to be free
waiting to finally see the light
The attic they live in is like a safe haven
while dark and dusty, it is their home
the soldiers walked along the street in formation
but at night, they endlessly roam
the diary anne writes in has no ears, but can hear
awaiting on the tip of her tongue, the taste of fear
after 2 years it gets old
waiting, and watching, time passes by slower
hope is an animal searching for food
wishing for it to be over
Anne yearns for her mothers love
the feeling of warmth
just as peter with his parents
in the search of love, they find it for each other
one day after another, their love grew
but nevertheless, deep down, they new it wouldn't last
in a flash the door crashed down
screaming and yelling, a loud smack
and then the hope for hope
was back

I will bear witness to ww2 and Anne Frank’s story by not letting her story be forgotten and always try to keep in mind what the Frank family and all jewish families went through during these events.
