The Platypus

Thought to be a myth such as aliens or bigfoot, the fuzzy creatures went against the odds of nature.
With a duck bill, a beaver tail and watertight fur, their adaptations are very mature.
They are surprisingly playful for being such a unique little being.
Sometimes it’s hard to believe they exist without seeing.
Popular in cartoons, much to the dismay of their rare nature and size.
But publicity still brought them into the public eye.
These silly little creatures of such wonder and why, are one of the many creatures that make this planet so great and so alive.

I've always thought the platypus was some miracle of nature and a poem truly made it's unique qualities shine in just a few lines of words. I hope other people become curious about other animals.
