That Sunny Filter
I used to see the world in a sunny filter
Yet now it seems that it has faded
It’s not the same as it used to be
Everything seems clouded and dreary
Playgrounds of red and yellow
Now dark gray and black
Forests full of green and brown
Shadowed with windowed towers
Fields filled with lakes and poppys
Plowed throughout with black cement
Taking the home from its rightful owners
Ending up on the side of the road
Soon the world will turn in fog
Rather than the blue and cotton sky
Living in the future yet still in the past
Where did that sunny filter go?
