Fear of Heights
Pale faced, white as snow,
looking out, hoping to find anything but stress below.
The old, creaky window is faded black,
much use is what it does lack.
If only there were more time,
maybe to just slip out the casement and climb.
But instead thoughts say jump,
as anything surpasses this dump.
Travel back to the endless pages,
or plunge to avoid the next stages?
