Social Tree
The unexpected is expected,
The infected are always connected.
A forest tied together, sought to find home.
Once lost, you’re lost forever.
Lost is no story or soul.
When lost, you’re a glass half full.
Attempt to sense a way back,
Not a way to go back, but a way to get.
The time when lost wasn’t scary,
But being lost was fine.
Make your home in your own world.
Home has no definition.
Home has no roof.
Home has no bed.
Home is a feeling.
Indescribable and so desirable,
It’s comfortability so welcoming.
Threatening warmth right in the door.
Fresh air that I’ve never experienced before.
But the air seeps out, and the fog creeps in.
Weight fills the chest.
You sink until sunk,
Your roof is now made of rock.
There is no hiding, no rest.
I may not be home.
But I’m not lost.
