A Winter Night
It’s a dark, cold, and eerie winter night.
The wind whines through the air,
Knocking all the decorations down outside of peoples houses.
The trees sway with the wind,
Making a howling noise that creeps through the town.
All the lights on the town houses flicker with despair,
Trying to warn others of the disparity as they walk by.
Leaves blow on the ground in circles around my feet,
Trying to take me for a spin.
Big icicles hang from roofs,
Looking like daggers.
And snow falls as the night gets late,
Showering the town with white dust.
