My Goddess Now My Devil
Dear Goddess of my planet take my eyes
For my vision has been blessed to see
Such beauty found in my goddess
And I have done nothing to earn it
Oh goddess listen to my pleads
My heart is tied to our lease
I have managed to find peace
Within your brown orbs of delicacies
My goddess look on me for mistakes
For my hands are greedy and just take
My tongue so sly that remarks are made of coals and knives
Talking just about our lives
How the love we give to each other has sometimes been based on lies
Goddess, please listen to me now or never
I have come from a place so far away; however
I came for your mind that is, oh so clever
For our love that burned as slow as an ember
Now my Goddess I'm sad to weep
Onto you the knowledge I keep
And kept from you so long ago as you fell asleep
Upon your slumber, I arise to find
You as a vermin sucking away at my heart
Eating my love away until it's torn apart
My Goddess, now my Devil
I have come to return the metal
Of our rings, we had promised to keep
And not to be placed onto any heaps
