The Teddy Bear
I see her happy days
I see her sad nights
I see her shining smile
I see her sorrowed eyes
I feel her shudder as she grabs on tight
I feel her aching heart
I feel her finally drifting asleep
I breathe a sigh of relief
I hear her talking to herself
I hear her say she’s all alone
I hear her screaming “WHY’’
I hear her softly cry
Sometimes I feel as if though
I am her only comfort
Me and her against the world I say
But
She uses me
Less
And less
And less
So how can I be there for her
If she forgets I exist

This poem is from the point of view of my teddy bear, seeing me grow up and going through challenges.
