motherhood
Upon a bluff, where sea winds command,
I make my stand, firm as the needle's brand,
Steady hand cradling dreams unplanned.
A voice, like echoes from the past, anoints,
My thoughts with wisdom, stories that haunt.
In brambles thick, where thorns entwine,
A mother's love, a gift divine.
Each prick, a lesson, sharp and clear,
Teaching truths we hold so near.
Above, a cloud, both vast and high it sails,
Drifting along the canvas of the sky.
An adage whispers, "As clouds may part,
Life's storms can mend a wounded heart."
For on this ledge, I find my song,
In lessons learned, and love that makes me strong.
