Come November
I am holding you like water in my shaking hands
I can feel the element slipping through my fingers as I panic, afraid, horrifyed it means i'm losing you
With every moment of miscommunication I trip over my own feet, spilling even more of you
I lose your smile tripping over stones
I let go of your voice turning corners
And soon i'll lose all of you
Every ounce of the person I once knew being nothing but a trail of water following my steps
Ill forget about it in the future
As the temperature rises and the water evaporates into the air
Your voice mixing with the wind
The color of your eyes just being the color of the grass.
It wont matter.
Come november. It wont matter.
