asymptotes and probabilities
looked me in the eyes, filled with uncertainty
like “walking into a fogged forest,” we agreed
a first for both of us, but different firsts
i stared back, equally uncertain.
time, ticking and tocking away
giving things a try, “give me a chance, everything’s already changed anyways”
will never be friends again, haven’t been for a while
i stared at the calendar, fearing the counted days.
tense air of uncertainty, but so worth the chance
asked if “waiting is okay,” all that’s needed is some reciprocation
not their type, but the emotional connection is worth too much more
i’m a gambler, playing roulette with my heartstrings.
