In silent whispers of the night

Her voice still echoes, soft and light.

A gentle touch, a warm embrace,

Now just memories in a quiet place

Her laughter once filled every room,

now shadows linger, casting gloom.

Yet in my heart, she'll always stay,

Guiding me in her own special way.

Though tears may fall and hearts may ache,

Her love remains, no time can take.

In every star, in every dawn

Her spirit lives, though she is gone.

The author's comments:

I wrote this poem for my mother who has passed. I'm 14 now but she passed when I was 13, she passed away 20 days before my birthday. Usually birthdays are supposed to be happy, mine was sad. Losing a mother at such a young age will haunt me forever, it has always been my worst fear yet it sadly came true.

It is in our darkest moment that we must
focus to see the light.

By Aristotle

In every peom there is the poet. The poem reflects what the poet is feeling. This peom gives such strong emotions it makes the reader feel the same. This is such a beautiful peom, in more then one way. I feel your pain.
