The Rain

listening to the rain/
is the only thing keeping me whole/
keeps me from picking up the blade/
or diving off a bridge/
but what happens/
when the rain stops/
this distraction is gone/
& im alone with my thoughts/
i know what i'll do/
I'll pick up the blade/
i won't want to do it/
but it lessens the pain/
there'll only be one or two cuts/
lasting forever before they fade/
Now im going home/
to listen to the rain/
but what about when it stops/
it's the only thing keeping me whole/


when it's over/
I'll pick up the blade/
the cuts lasting forever/
before they fade.
