Every day and every night
I looked into her eyes and saw fear
and pain, and love that she held near
as the tears started to come
she would wipe them away
but one was always there to take it's place
and she cried, day and night
the tears would stop on the outside
but they never did inside
people told her she would be okay
but she could see the lies on their face
and so she didn't believe
she began to lose hope
until one day she made it stop
she took her last breathe
her heart took it's last beat
and the blood made a red sea at her feet
and as she lay there dying
she looked into the mirror
and realized it had been her eyes that cried
every day and every night
