You left me
I thought you cared.
What went wrong?
No chance for goodbyes
you are gone.
Deaths presence has taken you
somewhere I do not know.
You left when I needed you most
you promised to get better.
I cried for you
but no reply
until one day.
I saw a shadowy figure
standing outside my door
I was alone in the house.
I realized
it was you
you came to me
in my darkest hour.
You said
“I promised you
I would never leave
you are never alone.”
Even when I feel so alone
I know
I am never alone.
