The Ledge
Hypocrisy is turning into something
I have to deal with every moment
As I talk you down from the ledge
There's a fear whirling inside of me
Because all it takes is one little slip
And the stability beneath you vanishes
It's all over.
To me it seems, the ledge is a reoccurring place
I have been here too many times before
I even stepped off a few times...
But fate and gravity just won't let me go
So come down, its not worth it
This isn't the end, it's a new beginning
So give me your hand and follow me
Into a world where they caan never touch us again
No more darkness and no more pain
What this is isn't ideal, but its rare to find
You put your hand in mine
and I can see it in your eyes
This is where we're supposed to be
But suddenly my eyes are open
And you are miles away again
The ledge has disappeared
as have you and my dream
so I cry myself back to sleep
