A second has gone by
A moment has passed
The little hand is ticking
But not a minute to fast
The pulse of a heart
As it steadily beats
The exhileration
Of when we finally meet
Deep breathing
Slow breaths
The clock ticks by
Steady like a met


A second has gone by
But a moment hasn't passed
The little hand is ticking
But it's going to fast
The pulse of a heart
As it beats out of place
The exhileration
Of when were face to face
Deep breathing
Ragged breaths
The clock ticks by
But we don't fret
