A Father No More
I look at him and realize
He has the face
Of a monster
Who is ready to kill
Cold, menacing
With no doubts
He looks down
At us, his young
He sees us
But sees no love
He senses hate and resent
Towards the animal
he has become
The animal
For which their father has been replaced.
