The Chase

As the day turns into night,
the black swarms of clouds chase after
the brilliant colors of the setting sun,
assuming their position high in
the sky while melting into the
black of night.
As night turns into day
the beautiful pastel colors of the rising sun
fight back, chasing away the black clouds
as they flee into the darkness of
morning, and the bright ball of
sunlight rises back into
its rightful place, until
the chase started
all over again.
