The Clouds Above

The clouds are dark in the sky above
And here we all are
Cloaked in our deepest shades
All is silent
Not a soul wishes to evoke
The unmentionable, intolerable knowledge
None dare to disturb this evening
As the sun begins to fade into oblivion
But there is one drop
A solitary noise to break the silence
And then another
The cool water surrounds us
Floods our thoughts
And there you are
Staring into my spirit
I see your eyes
They mimic the clouds as all of ours do
With the dark clouds above
On this evening
