The Passing of Time
At eight o'clock on Wednesday evening, eighteen after the hour
The clock stands high in the sky
right on top of the tower.
At eight o'clock on Wednesday evening,
I walk in the bathroom and take a shower.
Minutes pass, and time goes by
Suddenly we lose the power.
It's totally dark, I can't see a thing
And all I can do is cower.
So I drift off to sleep
And snore like a sheep
Before waking up
To a very loud beep!
There I am sitting in a room.
The lights are on, and there's no more gloom.
I can't believe I fell asleep
At eight o'clock Wednesday evening, eighteen after the hour
