Teacher
The lone light in the dark circles around and around.
The gravitational pull forces it down,
just so it can rebound back upwards.
Circling and Circling, never stopping.
The constant push and pull around the clock-
keeps ticking.
Thoughts circle around my head,
warping it until it is something else.
I tell myself it's not true-
I pull myself through most days.
No one knows,
No one sees,
No one needs to know what I see.
I fight it and tell it to stop.
The light still flows around and around.
Will the glow ever fade into the night?
Someday
It will listen, I will listen,
I will learn.
I will be in control of my thoughts...
I will view circles not as an enemy,
but as a Teacher.
