Riding Down Old Torch
Gracefully, gliding across the milky surface-
parting the crystal water.
Peering down into the sandy depths,
yet staying safe inside.
The giant beasts emerged-
as we intruded into their home.
Their gaping mouths and open claws,
warmly welcomed us in.
Carefully slithering-
avoiding their grasp,
we slowly meander away.
We leave them in their watery grave-
today, tomorrow, to stay.
