All it took was just one night
She had her life in her hands
Her feet were placed on firm lands
She lived without strife
And was about to be a wife
One night was all it took
It dragged her dreams like a hook
Her solid land became rough
And she could feel the metal cuffs
They dragged her away
As her life became grey
Now she wished she never went
To see her life gone away and spent
Now she stepped in the car
Her fiancé has gone afar
All because of just one try
Now a life will pass her by
Let another human thrive
Decide to not drink and drive
