I reach up
to all the stars
My fingers tingle
In aspiration
I’m almost there
With some growth
My fingers see
Beyond what they
do now.
Right now they are stuck
in awful, bland memories interwoven
with emptiness
But soon they will rise
like a plant when it’s
ready to grow
I’m on my tip toes
Stretching to reach

When I wrote this, I was thinking about how, when you achieve a goal, you really have to leave your comfort area. This poem is about me on the way to achieving a goal.
