I should be listening to her but I often lose the sound of her voice; I fall into sort of a dream
Sometimes I think I am in wonderland and the noises around me are the crashes of waves
Which come up shallower; more near me
Then when it comes my turn to reply, I have to be awakened
And having heard nothing of what was said, for listening to the subtle waves crashing
I have no answer ready

I wrote this poem as a symbol of how boring it was to listen to my therapist ramble on and on.
