End of War
Sitting in a silenced room
Cannot hear or see
What is happening to me?
A high-pitched scream comes from behind
My partners dead
Just in time
I feel a trickle of blood down my face
And in my mouth I can taste
The bitter taste of blood and hate
That’s when I began it suffocate
Losing all control I soon see
A blinding light in front of me
I open my mouth and try to shout
Yet not a thing can come out
Here it is this is my fate
I shed a tear that’s filled with hate
As I slowly give in to death
I nod my head and hope for the best
As the depths of darkness draw me in
I brace myself for what’s within
My body wilts like a dead flower
Then once again with all my power
One scream, one tiny shout is all I manage to get out
Now I shall try no more
My body lies bloody and sore
“Goodbye” I say and nothing more
The fight is over
The enemy has won
Now all that’s become of me and my friend is misery
That’s how it ends.
